JACK THISTLEDOWN RACINO SUPPORTS LOCAL EMERGENCY CREWS WITH LIFESAVING DONATION

JACK Thistledown Racino presented the Village of North Randall with a check to purchase new tactical kits and defibrillator equipment

On Tuesday, August 4, JACK Thistledown Racino presented the Village of North Randall with funds to purchase lifesaving equipment integral to the village’s emergency services. The money will go to the purchase of five automated external defibrillators (AEDs) and seven tactical kits.

This donation will now allow for all North Randall Fire Department and Police Department vehicles to be equipped with these life saving tools, previously only accessible in the village’s ambulances and fire apparatuses.

“With this donation, all primary safety vehicles within our Village will have an AED which is an essential piece to the chain of survival during a cardiac arrest,” said Captain Anthony Lombardo of the North Randall Fire Department. “The Village’s Safety Services believes strongly in delivering the best services possible to its residents, guests and businesses and none of this would be possible without the help of partners like JACK Thistledown Racino.”

The historic racetrack has been a part of the rich history of the Village of North Randall since the racetrack’s inception in 1931, and as part of the only Ohio-based gaming operator, JACK Thistledown Racino is devoted to maintaining a strong partnership between the entertainment destination and the community it calls home.

“As a company born in Ohio, we are committed to serving the community in which we reside,” said Angela Matthews, general manager of JACK Thistledown Racino. “We have always valued our relationship with North Randall and are honored to not only support their emergency services through this donation, but have a direct impact on those individuals we have the privilege to call our neighbors.”

In attendance of the check presentation was Mayor David Smith, Fire Chief Marshall Shorts, Captain Anthony Lombardo, Lieutenant Elliot Clark, Firefighter Ryan Cloud, Firefighter Ronald Womack, Police Chief Ronald Mosely, Angela Matthews, general manager of JACK Thistledown Racino, Scott Shaffer, assistant general manager of JACK Thistledown Racino and William Hockney, director of marketing for JACK Thistledown Racino.
