Detroit-based Rock Gaming LLC (“Rock Gaming”) announced today that public relations veteran Gayle Joseph has joined the company as vice president of communications. In her new role, Joseph will be responsible for managing all internal and external messaging throughout the company.
The announcement was made by Rock Gaming CEO Matt Cullen. “Gayle’s extensive public relations experience and strong leadership skills will help us continue to make our mark in Detroit, Cleveland and Cincinnati, “Cullen said. “Her proven track record of helping build and propel brands forward will be a valuable asset to the Rock Gaming organization.”
Joseph joins Rock Gaming from Edelman, where she served as executive vice president. In this role she oversaw activity in the Detroit market, including the firm’s work in automotive, healthcare, manufacturing and technology.
Prior to joining Edelman, Joseph managed Gayle Joseph Group, a full-service integrated marketing communications firm with clients in the automotive, healthcare, wealth management, technology and nonprofit sectors. Before starting her own firm, Joseph was a partner and managing director at Lambert, Edwards & Associates, where she oversaw operations of the firm’s Detroit office and led the automotive practice.
Previously, Joseph held a wide variety of agency positions working with some of the world’s most recognized brands, including Microsoft Corporation, General Motors Corporation, Guardian Industries Corp. and Sprint.
Joseph is a member of the Automotive Press Association, Automation Alley, Detroit Economic Club, Detroit Regional Chamber, Inforum: A Professional Women’s Alliance, MICHauto and the Public Relations Society of America.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and public relations from Northern Illinois University. She currently resides in suburban Detroit.
